You see the page breaks before you download

Every other converter is a black box: you upload, you wait, you find out. This one plans the document up front and draws the resulting pages on screen. If column H is about to land on page 2, you fix it in two seconds instead of after someone has already opened the file.

Your spreadsheet never leaves the browser

There is no upload endpoint. The file is read with the browser's File API, parsed in memory and drawn into a PDF locally. Open the Network tab and watch: no request carries your data. Payroll, cap tables and client lists stay on your machine.

Formatting survives the trip

Fill colours, theme colours with tints, font colours, bold and italic, merged cells, wrapped text, alignment and Excel number formats all carry across. A cell showing $1,240.50 exports as $1,240.50, not 1240.5.

Header rows repeat on every page

Frozen rows are detected automatically and repeated at the top of each page. Page 7 of a long table is still readable on its own — the thing Excel makes you dig into Print Titles for.

Wide sheets handled deliberately

When a table genuinely can't fit one page width, columns are split into labelled bands and each page is footed with 'columns 2 of 3', so a continuation is never mistaken for a separate table.

Real text, not a screenshot

The PDF contains vector text you can select, search and copy. Tools that rasterise your sheet produce a picture of a table — useless for Ctrl+F and terrible at print resolution.

How do I create a PDF from an Excel file?

Is this Excel to PDF converter free?

Yes, completely. There is no page limit, no daily file cap, no watermark and no sign-up. Because the conversion happens on your own device, there are no server costs to recoup.

Does my file get uploaded to a server?

No. The spreadsheet is read directly from your disk by JavaScript running in your browser tab and is never transmitted. You can verify this by opening your browser's Network panel during a conversion: nothing carries your data. Convert once, then pull your network cable out and convert again — the tab keeps working, because there is nothing for it to talk to.

Why does Excel cut my table in half when I save as PDF?

Excel exports at whatever paper size and scaling Page Setup specifies, and a table wider than the printable width gets sliced into vertical strips. Setting Page Layout → Scale to Fit → Width to 1 page fixes it in Excel. Here, choose the 'Fit width' mode and the preview will confirm it immediately.

Can I convert several Excel files into one PDF?

Yes. Drop in as many workbooks as you like and every sheet from every file is laid out into a single PDF, in the order you added them, with continuous page numbering. Individual sheets can be switched off.

Will the PDF keep my colours and currency formatting?

Yes, as long as 'Keep original styling' is on, which it is by default. Fills, font colours, bold, italic, alignment, wrapped text, merged cells and Excel number formats — currency, percentages, thousands separators, dates and accounting negatives — are all preserved.

Are charts and images included?

Not yet. The cell grid converts faithfully; charts, images and shapes aren't drawn. If your sheet is chart-heavy, Excel's own File → Export → Create PDF/XPS is still the better route.

Can I convert old .xls files?

The legacy .xls format from Excel 2003 and earlier isn't supported. Open it in Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets and save it as .xlsx first. The converter will tell you clearly if you drop one in.
